Hoeven Announces Funds to UND, ND Department of Human Services

BISMARCK, N.D. – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the Department of Health and Human Services and Small Business Administration (SBA) have awarded a total of $590,000 in federal funding to two groups in North Dakota. The SBA has awarded $290,000 to the University of North Dakota for the Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC) program. This funding will support training workshops and provide business development assistance to veterans and military spouses. The Administration for Community Living (ACL) Center for Integrated Programs has awarded $300,000 to the North Dakota Department of Human Services. These funds will help streamline state efforts for older adults and individuals with disabilities to access long-term care.

“Today’s grants will help North Dakota continue to provide vital resources to our brave veterans and their families, as well as assist with providing quality long-term care to seniors and individuals with disabilities,” said Hoeven.
