Hoeven Announces Funding for Alzheimer's Research at UND
BISMARCK, N.D. – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has awarded $1,420,768 to the University of North Dakota (UND). Today’s funding comes from the National Institute on Aging and will be used to support research into the relationship between intestinal inflammation and Alzheimer’s disease.
“This new grant to UND will support efforts researching and studying the impacts and causes of Alzheimer’s disease, supporting the development of better prevention and treatment methods,” said Hoeven.
