Hoeven Announces Fall Interns in Fargo, Minot & Washington, D.C. Offices

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven today announced that Mallory Thielges is interning in his Washington, D.C. office, Klarissa Walvatne is interning in his Fargo office and Elizabeth Romanick is interning in his Minot office this fall. Senator Hoeven’s internship program provides college students the opportunity to assist with research, tracking legislation, administrative work, communications and constituent services. 

“We are happy to have Mallory, Elizabeth and Klarissa join our team this fall,” said Hoeven. “Internships provide valuable experiences to those interested in learning firsthand about government and public service. We hope the skills they learn this semester will help them to achieve their educational and career goals.” 

Elizabeth Romanick 

Elizabeth is a sophomore studying Advertising and Marketing along with Early Childhood Development at Minot State College. A Bismarck native, she is the daughter of Bruce and Roxane. Elizabeth is an active member in MSU Life Club and CRU at her church. 

Mallory Thielges 

Mallory is from LaMoure, North Dakota. The daughter of Darren and Gwen, she is currently attending North Dakota State University studying Psychology and Criminal Justice. After graduation, she plans to pursue a career working within holistic psychology. 

Klarissa Walvatne 

Klarissa Walvatne is the daughter of Wayne and Becky. She grew up in Battle Lake, MN and studies Agriculture Economics and International Relations at North Dakota State University. She is a member of several agriculture clubs and has served as Vice President of the NDSU College Republicans. After graduation, she will be a newly commissioned 2LT in the U.S. Army and plans to pursue a career in international affairs and agriculture policy.
