Hoeven Announces Department of Justice COVID-19 Funding

BISMARCK, N.D. – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has awarded funding from the Coronavirus Emergency Supplemental Funding (CESF) Program to the State of North Dakota. The grants, detailed below, will be used to provide supplies, personal protective equipment and training to help prevent, prepare for and respond to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

  • North Dakota Attorney General’s Office – $2,082,871
  • City of Fargo – $195,828
  • City of Bismarck – $95,241

“Today’s funds will be used to support the efforts of cities as well as ensure the health and safety of local law enforcement as they continue working on the front lines to combat the coronavirus pandemic,” said Hoeven.
