Hoeven Announces CARES Act Funding Released to Bismarck Transit System

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Transportation, Housing and Urban Development Appropriations Committee, today announced that the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) has awarded $3,766,362 to the city of Bismarck. Hoeven previously announced today’s award, which upon the city’s successful grant application, has now been awarded. The funds were made available through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act under the Urbanized Area Formula Grants Program. This funding will support the transit system in Bismarck as it continues responding to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic and providing service to residents.

“This funding from the CARES Act will help cover increased costs resulting from the COVID-19 public health emergency and ensure the Bismarck community can continue accessing the transportation system,” said Hoeven.
