Hoeven Announces Agenda for the 2015 State of Technology Conference in Fargo

Conference to Feature Leaders in UAS, 3-D Printing, University Technology Development & Commercialization, Appareo Systems to Announce New Milestone in Air Traffic Control Technology

FARGO, N.D. – Senator John Hoeven today announced the agenda for the 2015 State of Technology Conference, an annual business technology event. The conference will be held Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015, at the Avalon Events Center West. Hoeven and the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber of Commerce are hosting the forum to highlight technological innovations in North Dakota’s key industries and to help the state’s businesses find ways to use technology to grow and increase success.

This year’s conference features addresses on unmanned aerial systems (UAS), 3-D printing and technology development and commercialization at North Dakota State University (NDSU). Appareo Systems, one of this year’s presenters, also plans to share a new milestone with their work on a product as a result of the Federal Aviation Administration NEXTGEN initiative, which carries significant impacts for commercial aviation, general aviation and the UAS industry in North Dakota and across the country.

“Businesses right here in the Red River Valley are developing technologies that address needs and realize opportunities around the world,” Hoeven said. “We host this conference each year to highlight the ways in which North Dakota’s innovators are helping tackle challenges in the industries of the future. Our conference has helped connect our state’s business and technology leaders, resulting in new developments and partnerships, such as the Dakota Fiber Initiative. We look forward to this year’s presentations, including Appareo’s exciting announcement.”
