Hoeven Announces $2 Million Research Grant to University of North Dakota

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), through the National Institute of General Medical Sciences, has awarded $2 million to the University of North Dakota (UND). Today’s grant will be used to support research into host-pathogen interactions, including how viruses can sustain themselves within host organisms.

“The benefits of research at UND reach beyond our state, and today’s grant supports UND’s efforts to continue performing important research,” said Hoeven.
