Hoeven Announces $173,350 Grant for Cancer Research at UND

BISMARCK, N.D. – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has awarded the University of North Dakota with a $173,750 grant to research cancer treatments. The grant is made available through the National Cancer Institute’s exploratory and developmental grant program.

“Almost all of us know someone who has been diagnosed with cancer,” said Hoeven. “This funding will enable the University of North Dakota to conduct important research to help find new ways to treat this horrible disease.”
