Hoeven Statement on the Anniversary of September 11th

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven today issued the following statement on the thirteenth anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States:

“September 11 will always occupy a profound place in American memory. Today, on the thirteenth anniversary of that tragic day, we honor those who lost their lives and the first responders who put themselves in harm’s way to save others. We also honor our men and women in uniform who continue to protect us overseas and at home, especially those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to defend our freedoms. Today, our thoughts and prayers go out to all of them, as well as to the families who lost loved ones on that tragic day and in its aftermath.

“As we honor them, pay tribute and reflect on their sacrifices, we stand united and resolved as Americans. We will never forget.”
