Tuesday morning, Senator Hoeven will meet with the Vice Commanders of the 5th Bomb Wing and the 91st Missile Wing at Minot Air Force Base. They will discuss upgrades to the base’s B-52 fleet, the air launch cruise missile and the need to replace the helicopter fleet. Hoeven will also view the new Two-Bay Phase Maintenance Dock and discuss the Nuclear Force Improvement Program. Hoeven has worked to secure funding for upgrades to the missiles and bombers and their facilities at Minot Air Force Base, as well as funding for replacement helicopters.
