EMERADO, N.D. – On Thursday, August 27, Senator John Hoeven will mark the Technology-Readiness Experimentation (T-REX) event as part of the initiative’s Distinguished Visitors Day at GrandSKY. Hoeven will outline North Dakota’s unique unmanned aerial systems (UAS) ecosystem and its growing leadership in counter-drone technology development, resulting in the state’s selection by the U.S. Department of War (DoW) for the two-week T-REX event, which provides private companies the opportunity to test and demonstrate the benefits of their drone and counter-drone technologies for the DoW. Following remarks from the event participants, the group will be transported to GrandSKY’s runway and hangar for technology demonstrations.
