BISMARCK, N.D. – On Wednesday, August 12, Senator John Hoeven will address the Basin Electric Power Cooperative’s annual meeting, where he will discuss the important role that reliable, coal-fired baseload power plays in making the U.S. energy secure and his efforts to secure the future of this critical industry. To this end, Hoeven will outline his work to advance Crack the Code 2.0 to double both oil recovery in the Bakken and the life of North Dakota’s coal-fired power plants.
