BISMARCK, N.D. – On Friday, May 8, Senator John Hoeven will hold a press conference to announce significant federal funding for Crack the Code 2.0, his initiative to partner the state’s coal, oil, and gas industries. Hoeven has been working with the Department of Energy (DOE) to secure federal funding for phase one of the federal, state and industry initiative. Hoeven will be joined by North Dakota Petroleum Council President Ron Ness to outline the next steps for the initiative and its goals of doubling both oil recovery in the Bakken and the life of North Dakota’s coal-fired power plants.
