Hoeven will deliver remarks at the North Dakota Farm Bureau’s Annual Meeting. He will outline his efforts to eliminate the EPA’s Waters of the U.S. regulation, which includes broad new definitions of the scope of the “Waters of the United States” that fall under the jurisdiction of the Clean Water Act. The expansion would have significant economic impacts for property owners who would face new federal permits, compliance costs and threats of fines. Hoeven will also address the crop insurance provision in the Budget Agreement and reaffirm his commitment to working to address this issue in the omnibus at the end of the year.
