FARGO, N.D. – On Tuesday, January 20, Senator John Hoeven will hold a press conference with members of the Fargo-Moorhead Diversion Authority, Lake Agassiz Water Authority and Garrison Diversion Conservancy District to discuss the impact of the funding provisions that Hoeven secured in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 appropriations legislation, which benefit water supply projects and flood protection in the Red River Valley. Specifically, Hoeven worked to advance:

• $50 million for the Eastern North Dakota Alternate Water Supply (ENDAWS) project, which uses existing federal infrastructure to save the Red River Valley Water Supply Project (RRVWSP) $200 million.
• His legislation directing the Corps to apply $100-120 million in federal savings to reduce the local cost share of flood protection in the Red River Valley.

Following the press conference, Hoeven will hold a roundtable to discuss the two initiatives in detail.
