Hoeven Announces More Than $5 Million Grant For Head Start Programs In Minot And Fargo

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the Administration for Children and Families’ Office of Head Start has awarded two grants totaling more than $5 million to the Minot Public School District and the Southeastern North Dakota Community Action Agency in Fargo. Details of the funds, which will support Head Start programs and help serve children and their families, are as follows:

  • Minot Public School District – $3,485,786
  • Southeastern North Dakota Community Action Agency in Fargo – $1,571,194

“Head Start programs play a critical role in supporting the health and well-being of children and in ensuring they are well-prepared to learn,” Hoeven said. “Today’s funds will support Head Start programs in the Minot and Fargo areas.”
