WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today released the following statement after Congress approved emergency funding to prevent, prepare for and respond to the Coronavirus. The legislation funds preparedness and treatment efforts, including vaccine research and development, support for state and local health agencies, as well as for necessary medical supplies.
“Congress approved this funding on a bipartisan basis to ensure that our nation is doing all we can to combat the Coronavirus,” said Hoeven. “This legislation supports vital prevention and treatment efforts, including vaccine research and development, in order to protect the American people.”
