WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), through the Office of Violence Against Women, has awarded $379,150 to the North Dakota Department of Health. Today’s funding is provided through the Sexual Assault Services (SAS) Formula Program and will be used by the state to support rape crisis centers and nonprofit organizations that assist sexual assault survivors.
“This grant will enable North Dakota to strengthen response efforts and ensure resources are available to help survivors of sexual assault,” said Hoeven.
