Thune Makes Good on Jackrabbit-Bison Wager with Hoeven; Wears NDSU Jersey

Senators Wagered Team Jerseys for Saturday's Dakota Marker Game

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven (R-ND) today presented Senator John Thune (R-SD) with a North Dakota State University (NDSU) Bison jersey following the team’s victory over the South Dakota State University (SDSU) Jackrabbits during Saturday’s Dakota Marker Game. Senators Hoeven and Thune made a friendly wager on the outcome of the football game, with Hoeven agreeing to wear an SDSU Jackrabbits jersey in the event of a Bison loss, and Thune wearing an NDSU Bison jersey if South Dakota State lost.

Hoeven and Thune often work together on legislative issues; both serve as members of the Senate Agriculture, Nutrition & Forestry Committee.

“Seeing Senator Thune sport Bison Green and Gold is quite a sight, and I want to thank him for making our team colors look so good and participating in this friendly wager,” Hoeven said.
