WASHINGTON, D.C. – Sen.-elect John Hoeven was sworn into office by Vice President Joseph Biden this afternoon as North Dakota’s 22nd senator in a formal ceremony at the United States Capitol in Washington, D.C. The Senator, along with 13 other new senators, took the oath of office before a group of family and friends on the floor of the U.S. Senate. Accompanying him were North Dakota Sen. Kent Conrad and former North Dakota Sen. Mark Andrews.

“Mikey and I are honored and excited to be here in our nation’s capital serving the people of North Dakota, and we deeply appreciate this opportunity,” Hoeven said. “We believe in the enormous potential and talents of North Dakotans, and the strength of the American people. We are committed to doing all we can to build a better future for our state and our nation.”
