Hoeven: NDSU Receives Nearly $218,000 From National Institute on Aging

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the National Institute on Aging, part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), has awarded $217,500 to North Dakota State University (NDSU). The funding supports research of vascular disease in older adults with diabetes.

“Vascular disease is a leading cause of death and disability for older adults with diabetes,” Hoeven said. “Research like this will help prevent and treat the complications of diabetes, improving the health and quality of life for many.”
