Hoeven: DOT Awards More than $290,000 to Enhance Highway Safety in North Dakota

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven today announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has awarded more than $290,000 to the North Dakota Department of Transportation to boost highway safety.

“As North Dakota continues to grow and traffic on our roads increases, we need to make sure that we invest in infrastructure and programs to keep our communities safe,” Hoeven said. “This funding will help to enhance public safety efforts like reducing speeding or impaired and distracted driving.”

As a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, Senator Hoeven works to support programs that invest in infrastructure and other services to meet the needs of North Dakota’s growing population and commerce.
