Hoeven Announces Additional CARES Act Funding to North Dakota for Housing

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Transportation, Housing and Urban Development Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has awarded additional Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) to the State of North Dakota. Today’s funding, totaling $3,468,739, comes from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act and will be used to support the state’s continued efforts to respond to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic among individuals and families who are homeless or receiving homeless assistance.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted many communities, and today’s funding provides additional support to the state as North Dakota continues to provide assistance to homeless individuals and families,” said Hoeven.
