SUMMARY:Lake Tschida Visit with Bureau of Reclamation Commissioner Estevan Lopez
DESCRIPTION:On Tuesday\, Senator Hoeven will host Bureau of Reclamation Commissioner Estevan Lopez at Lake Tschida to meet with cabin owners from around the lake. SUMMARY:Disabled American Veterans Convention
DESCRIPTION:Senator John Hoeven will attend the Disabled American Veterans Convention in Fargo on Saturday\, April 25 and outline legislation he’s working to pass that will help veterans in North Dakota and across the nation have better access to health care. \nSaturday\, April 25 \n10:00 a.m. CT: Disabled American Veterans Convention \nBiltmore on Main\n3800 Main Ave\nFargo\nLast month\, Hoeven introduced the Veterans Access to Extended Care Act\, bipartisan legislation that would allow veterans greater access to long term care (LTC) services in their home communities. Specifically\, the legislation would enable veterans to stay in nursing homes and other extended care facilities near loved ones and friends because those nursing homes will be able to receive Veterans Administration reimbursement without burdensome red tape. \nHoeven is also cosponsoring the Veterans Access to Community Care Act\, legislation he introduced with Senator Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) that would allow veterans to obtain health care services in their local community if they live more than 40 miles from a VA medical facility that can provide the care a veteran requires. \nHoeven is a member of the Senate Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Appropriations Committee. \n-###-
