DESCRIPTION:EMERADO\, N.D. – On Friday\, July 18\, Senator John Hoeven will mark the successful execution of Project ULTRA’s cargo delivery initiative and review live unmanned cargo flights between Grand Forks Air Force Base and Cavalier Space Force Station. Hoeven will lead a press conference with officials from GrandSKY\, the Northern Plains UAS Test Site and their project partners to outline this new milestone. \nAs a member of the Senate Defense Appropriations Committee\, Hoeven worked to establish and fund Project ULTRA\, having secured $6 million for the initiative to date to support the development of practical unmanned applications for the military and provide a template for similar operations at bases across the country. DESCRIPTION:FARGO\, N.D. – On Friday\, July 25\, Senator John Hoeven will hold a press conference with leaders from the North Dakota Air National Guard (NDANG) to announce efforts to fund and build a new $33 million headquarters for the 119th Wing in Fargo. As a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee\, Hoeven has secured initial funding for the planning and design phase of the project\, which will provide an updated\, consolidated space to more efficiently support mission training and operations. \nThis will include the NDANG’s Regional Training Site (RTS)\, which is currently spread across multiple buildings and will be brought together into a single\, purpose-built facility\, better enabling the RTS to provide specialized training programs like Rapid Airfield Damage Repair to active-duty and Guard units from across the country.
