GRAND FORKS, N.D. – On Monday, August 17, Senator John Hoeven will hold a media availability with leaders from the Grand Forks Housing Authority and the Community Violence Intervention Center (CVIC). The senator will discuss his efforts to advance renovations for LaGrave Place and secure federal funding for CVIC’s operations. Hoeven has authored and passed two pieces of legislation, one of which was included in the government funding legislation recently passed by the Senate, to forgive the Grand Forks Housing Authority’s $2 million loan for LaGrave, which will free up needed capital to improve the facility. Immediately following, Hoeven will tour LaGrave Place with local housing officials.
