New PPA Implements Senator’s Legislation to Reduce Local Cost Share

FARGO, N.D. – On Thursday, May 7, Senator John Hoeven will mark the signing of the new Project Partnership Agreement (PPA) between the Fargo-Moorhead Diversion Authority and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The new PPA is required to implement Hoeven’s legislation directing the Corps to apply federal savings toward reducing the local cost share for flood protection in the Red River Valley, with $100 million expected to be distributed to the local project sponsors in the coming weeks and additional funding to be distributed as the project closes out. Hoeven will be joined at the ceremony by community leaders and Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works Adam Telle. The event will conclude with a media availability.
